Theatre Projects

Developing new, original theatre works and directing theatre productions has been a constant throughout Elizabeth's career. From writing and directing White Raven Speaks: Second Horizon to directing developmental workshops of playwright Sheila Cowley's works Trio and Flying, both of which have gone on to multiple national productions to a staged reading of Our Lady of 121st Street by Stephen Gurgis for Stageworks Theatre, she has demonstrated her theatre expertise. Elizabeth's Florida history plays continue to be presented, most recently for Florida history museums and historical societies, as staged readings with soundscapes and simple sets. Participating in the ekphrastic process has resulted in three new pieces and writings including her latest with ARTS46/4.

Elizabeth is a Dramatists Guild member. She has served on American Stage Theatre Company’s 2018 - 2019 and 2019-2020 21st Century Voices: New Play Festival Committee.

"Elizabeth Brincklow uses a variety of techniques--actor improvisation, side coaching, direction of staged readings, and focused talkback/feedback sessions--both to create new works, such as "The White Raven Speaks" and "Ekphrastic Fantastic," and to improve works in progress, as she did in the Florida Playwrights Process. Her work is highly skilled, creative, and filled with artistic and personal passion."

“Elizabeth was a tremendous help directing workshops of two very different full-length plays. On Trio, a script with three actors and three silent clowns, she spent months digging into the script with me and our choreographer before the workshop, as I revised the script. And for Flying, a historical play about WWII women pilots, Elizabeth took the time to delve into the characters with me, and with the actors. Her feedback was always helpful, and her presentation of the scripts, invaluable.”
